The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.How you will create an impactResponsible for Commercial Property Ecuador P&LEnsure that production growth targets are achieved and provide leadership to take remedial action to address shortfallEstablish / execute strategic business plans to achieve profitable growth in line with Profit Centre & country targetsPrepare, manage, and execute production and expense budgets in line with Profit Centre & country targets.Ensure adherence with all underwriting guidelines and bulletinsManage the portfolio in profitable and sustainable growth, closely following claims activity trendsEnsure adherence with all reporting requirementsReview, analyze and underwrite new and renewal business within underwriting authorityProvide technical direction to underwriters in the Profit CentreSupport team and orientates to negotiate terms and conditions with clients and brokerWorks with Brokers to determine Insurance needs and provide solutions.Keep abreast of market changes and trends. Provide strategic direction for new business / new product developmentDevelops key broker relationships and attracts new business across the entire segment.Works closely with engineering team and across the organization to develop and deliver tailored solutions.Communicates and collaborates across the organization- Claims, Product Management, Loss Control, Legal, Distribution to provide solutions/recommendations to achieve organizational success.What you’ll need to succeedBachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.5 to 10 years of experience underwriting property lines in the middle market and large account segments.Experience working with loss control engineering data in a property underwriting context.Ability to work independently to meet deadlines, as well as in a team to accomplish goalsStrong analytical, decision-making, and marketing skills are required.A recognized Property insurance expert in the Ecuadorian marketplaceExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsMust have excellent communication, organization, negotiating and leadership skills.Ability to work in a matrix environment.Advanced English skills.Ready to lead by example?
